This is my mom's recipe. The secret of it's taste, values and aroma is the amounts of garlic it contains. That's why we call it "The "Penicillin of the Yiddishe mama".
One day I said with longing .... "Wow ... there's nothing compared to my mom's chicken soup ...."
From across the room I heard my ten y/o eldest daughter, whispering as an echo, "yessss .... There's nothing compared to my mom's chicken soup....."

CHICKEN SOUP

INGREDIENTS :
- 1 kg chicken back bones (you can mix with turkey necks )
- 1 bunch of mixed herbs - parsley, dill and celery
- 1 whole green pepper - for taste

- 1 small whole onion
- 7 whole carrots (or as many as you want)
- 7 whole zucchini (or as many as you want)
- 12 large garlic cloves, coarsely sliced

- 2 tbsp chicken soup powder
- Big pot full of water
PREPARATIONS A DAY IN ADVANCE :
- you can prepare the pot a day in advance without cooking,
refrigerate and let cook the soup the next day
COOKING THE SOUP :
- bring to a boil, lower the heat, cover, cook for 2 hours or more and
add salt if necessary
